Evangelism

The mandate to show compassion to those in need is evident throughout the Bible, from the Old Testament to the New Testament. We see this in passages such as Isaiah 58:7, which says “Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?” In the New Testament, James 1:27 states that “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”

Our missions and outreach programs seek to address these needs by providing practical help and support to those in need, including the homeless, the hungry, and the vulnerable. We work in partnership with local organizations to provide food, clothing, and shelter, as well as practical support such as job training and healthcare.

However, we also recognize that the ultimate solution to the world’s problems is found in the gospel of Jesus Christ. As Christians, we believe that the good news of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ is the most important message that we can share with the world. We are therefore committed to sharing this message with everyone we encounter, both through our words and our actions.

Our outreach programs seek to integrate these two mandates by demonstrating the love of Christ through practical acts of compassion, while also sharing the message of salvation with those we serve. We believe that this integrated approach provides a holistic solution to the world’s problems, addressing both physical and spiritual needs.

Overall, our missions and outreach programs are an expression of our commitment to following Jesus Christ and living out the gospel in our communities and beyond. We believe that by working together to meet the needs of those around us and sharing the message of salvation, we can make a tangible difference in the world and bring glory to God.
